Gypsy Rose Blanchard thinks Erik Menendez and Lyle Menendez should take it slow if they ever get out of prison. When asked by “TMZ” what advice she’d give the infamous Menendez brothers, she said, “Hollywood will always be there,” and suggested they “take some time to themselves” before jumping into the spotlight. The former inmate herself admitted she regrets diving straight into media appearances after her own release and wants them to avoid the same mistake.
The brothers recently shared on the “2 Angry Men” podcast that they have big plans if freed, but Gypsy says there’s no rush…she’ll be watching whenever they decide to tell their story. As for when they might be released, new Los Angeles County D.A. Nathan Hochman hasn’t exactly shown support for a new trial but is open to resentencing.
The brothers, who were sentenced to life without parole for the 1989 murders of their parents, José Menendez and Kitty Menendez, have been seeking clemency and resentencing. Blanchard, meanwhile, was released from prison in Missouri in 2023, after being sentenced to ten years in 2016 for her role in her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard’s, murder.
