Lindsay Lohan is setting the record straight of who actually started the laughing fit that led to the iconic Saturday Night Live sketch where nearly every cast member broke character.
During a recent appearance on The Tonight Show, Lohan and Jimmy Fallon reminisced about the hilarious Debbie Downer sketch they starred in when Lohan hosted the SNL for the first time in 2004, per People. In the skit, the pair, alongside Kenan Thompson, Amy Poehler, Fred Armisen and Horatio Sanz, celebrated being at Disney World before Rachel Dratch's titular character killed the vibe by sharing increasingly depressing statements.
However, what makes the sketch stand out is the fact that most of the cast members couldn't contain their laughter at the absurdity of the skit.
After Fallon told Lohan that the sketch is "one of my favorite things I think I've ever done," the Freaky Friday star called out the host for causing her and everyone else to break character.
"I wanna say when we did rehearsal, I cracked up too because it's Rachel Dratch just going..." Fallon said, as Lohan immediately responded, "You were the one who made everyone else laugh! You were stuffing your face!"
The Parent Trap actress admitted that she was "so nervous" to host the show for the first time, but the mid-sketch breakdown helped ease her nerves.
"It sets a good tone though for the show," she said. "It's just comfortable after that."
Fallon added, "The whole place was shaking. The room, the... audience. Everyone was laughing."
