Netflix has announced that it plans to increase prices for new subscribers, not because the company is struggling, but because of how well they're doing!
The company said that its subscriber base grew more than expected - adding 4 millions - to 48 million members worldwide with a net profit of $53 million.
Sometime within the next few months, Netflix plans to raise prices $1 or $2 for new members globally. It has been said that the lower fee could counteract the tendancy some users have to cancel their subscription after binge-watching a season of their favorite show and then signing up later for no penalty.

At any rate, if you have Netflix it doesn't sound like you'll be affected by the up-charge. However, it is torture enough waiting for the second season of Orange is the New Black, am I right?
