After Tim Burton's legendary Beetlejuice came out in 1988, I'd guess I've seen the film at least one hundred times! There have been rumor and rumor over the years about a sequel and it's now a realty! Warner Brothers announced last week that Beetlejuice 2 will hit theaters on September 6, 2024.
Beetlejuice himself, Michael Keaton, will reprise the roll he originated 34 years ago and Winona Ryder will return as Lydia. No word on the story, but we do know that one of the biggest new stars, Jenna Ortega (who plays the title character on Tim's Burton's Nexflix series Wednesday) will play Lydia's daughter. Justin Theroux will also start in an unknown role.
