You can thank Justin Timberlake for allowing selfies or videotaping inside of a voting booth, at least in Tennessee.
Back in October JT caused an uproar during the election when he posted a selfie inside a Memphis voting booth, which could have lead to a $50 fine and 30 days in JAIL! Thankfully, he's in the clear and won't have any consequences. Lawmakers in Tennessee have ruled that photography and videotaping devices are now allowed to capture filled-out ballots as of last week.
However, there is one stipulation. Even though you're allowed to take footage of yourself in the voting poll stations, any acts of voter intimidation, fraud or selling a vote are not prohibited.
BTW it's still illegal for you to take a voting booth selfie in Wisconsin.
