Ariana Grande Reportedly In Talks To Guest Co-Host On 'Catfish'

Billboard's 13th Annual Women In Music Event

Ariana Grande has reportedly expressed an interest in guest co-hosting on the MTV series Catfish, according to showrunner Nev Schulman.

On Friday (June 14), Schulman was approached by TMZ paps outside Los Angeles International Airport to chat it up about potential celebrity guests he's hoping to have on the show. That's when Schulman name-dropped the "7 Rings" singer, who he just recently discovered is a big fan of his series after followers informed him that Grande was watching Catfish from her hotel room.

Much to his surprise, after heading over to her profile, she was also following him on IG. "So I followed her back - I'm actually embarrassed to say I wasn't following her," Schulman told TMZ, adding that he followed up with a DM to express his gratitude. "She wrote me back and we started chatting, talking about how she'd love to come on the show."

In speaking to the possibility of Grande joining his sleuthing squad on the upcoming season of Catfish, Schulman said: "Fingers crossed, when we start making more episodes maybe Ariana will do one - I'd love to have you, Ariana."

As you know, Catfish lost its longtime co-host, Max Joseph, last year when the filmmaker announced his retirement from the cult-followed series in August 2018.

The show's eighth season premiered earlier this week on Wednesday (June 12), with the latest episode featuring guest co-host, beauty expert Kamie Crawford.
