The USPS just launched a new website in which US residents can order up to four free COVID-19 rapid antigen tests per household, to be delivered right to your mailbox. This is a result of the federal government push for an increase of testing in order to help stop the spread of COVID-19 and particularly the Omicron variant. The Biden administration will also begin to ship 400 million N95 masks across the US, starting this week.
In order to get your at-home tests, just visit the USPS specific website, enter some general info like your contact information and shipping address. The cost is totally free, and there is a limit of one order per residential address. The site says the order will begin to ship in late January.
Some users have been having difficulties ordering their tests due to being in an apartment building or flat (meaning that they have a similar mailing address to other users), but the USPS says they are continuing to work out the bugs as the launch begins.
