The Wizarding World of Harry Potter opened on June 18, 2010 after a two-and-a-half year construction period inside the popular Universal Orlando Resort theme park.

Then, almost three years after its initial opening, NBCUniversal announced that it planned on expanding the popular attraction, costing around $1.6 billion and creating 30,000 jobs during construction.

Diagon Alley, the second installment of the park, now plans on opening its doors on July 8th, 2014. The new section features many of the same merchandise that's sold in Hogsmead Village and much more:

-Gringotts Money Exchange featuring an animatronic goblin banker

-Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes

-Quidditch store

-Madam Malkin's - an elegant shop with dresses,

-Ollivanders Wand Shop

-Borgin and Burkes - allegedly the spookiest store in Diagon Alley

-Magical Menagerie - sells all of the cute, cuddly creatures
