Chick-fil-A coming to Madison

Madison may be the next city adding a Chick-fil-A!

The Capital Times reports that the Atlanta-based company is seeking city approval to open its restaurant in the West Towne Mall parking lot at 423 S. Gammon Road.

A report from city planner Kevin Firchow says that, "staff believes the structure is an attractive fast-food restaurant."

Chick-fil-A is famous for their all-breast meat chicken sandwich. The company is also known for their chief operating officer, Dan Cathy's, statements opposing same-sex marriage which became the subject of controversy in 2012.

Chick-Fil-A has since released the following statement:

"Going forward, our intent is to leave the policy debate over same-sex marriage to the government and political arena."
