By now you may have seen the powerful picture of Selena Gomez lying beside her best friend Francia Raisa right before she donated her kidney to Selena.
But the photo has an incredibly special meaning for Selena’s mother, Mandy Teefey.
"This is one of the most breathtaking images that will live with me forever," she wrote on a post from her production company’s Instagram account. "For all those moments when you don’t know if life is taking you up or down, I can always come back to this picture and know we can always make it back up."
